At Bluemina, we often get asked about the fastest way to get a second passport. And even though most of the citizenship by investment programs that Bluemina offers have a fast processing time of 4 to 6 months, Vanuatu Citizenship by Investment Program is the fastest; granting investors its second passport in as little as 2 to 3 months.
Vanuatu is an island part of the Commonwealth realm. Its Citizenship by Investment Program was launched in 2017 and gained notable popularity among investors thanks to its fast processing time, solid reputation, and its several benefits. An investor will obtain Vanuatu Second Passport in exchange to a contribution to the Government’s Development Support Program; starting at $130,000 for a single applicant.
Once this investment is made and due diligence is passed, investors are expected to receive their second passport within 3 short months without having to fulfil any travel or residency requirement, and without even passing any interviews and language tests.
However, and till recently, Vanuatu Citizenship by Investment Program required investors to swear the oath before receiving their second citizenship. This would typically happen in an arranged Oath Ceremony in which a government representative would fly in a country of the investor’s choice or an investor would visit Vanuatu.
Good news is, this is no longer a requirement. In lights of the recent circumstances, and in attempts to ease the citizenship application process, the government of Vanuatu no longer requires investors to physically attend a ceremony to take the Citizenship Oath rather, they can now do so through a video call. Having said that, investors can now save all the cost, time and effort that they would have otherwise spent on the Oath Ceremony; allowing them to enjoy the benefits of Vanuatu Second Passport even sooner.
